Sounds from a Broken Ansible

Art that transcends traditional mediums and questions hierarchies. What is just a grimy cobweb on the wall to you, is to me my very first collaborator's home.

The backgrounds on this page are live generated using p5.js, feel free to interact with them!
This one is a water surface simulator, click to make waves and some crazy patterns.

Selected works

If art is anesthesia, then technique is my psychedelic.

A small selection of my works spanning from 2019 to the present.

Dancers to a Discordant System

Live AV Showcase / Mumbai / 2026

The debut live show of artists Shreesh (live DJ) and Tanya Dixit - tantriestoart (live visuals). We played to a small gathering of 10 people at a private venue in Mumbai. Audio-reactive visuals generated with the Live Overflow toolkit.

Maker's Asylum

Internship / 2019

A three month long internship at Maker's Asylum, Mumbai that taught me the best practices in rapid prototyping and simple interactive systems design. I built some cool stuff, too.

Music Masti

Online Workshop / 2025

An online workshop in which I covered the basics of music theory, made digestable to an audience coming back to it after a long break. Poster by Tanya Dixit.

Controller4p5js

Design Project / 2025

Draw with a video game controller. An accessibility tool and novel digital art medium designed by me using p5.js. Go from gamer to artist in under a day. Check out some work by my friends Sibya, Vasav and Tanya!

Live Overflow / Colorful-LiT

Software / 2025

Colorful Live Toolkit - Colorful LiT, a modular VJ toolkit for beat-reactive composition, controller mapping, and fast performance. Integrate it with Mixxx for a live DJ+VJ performance.

Square Chase

Prototype Game Engine / 2020

A simple ray casting engine I built to learn the basics of game development. Inspired by early '90s games like Wolf 3D and Doom, I kept the art style basic, but colorful. Check out this quick speedrun of the first level!

Disciplines

The manifestations of my life force.

Striations in the bedrock. Sea foam on beach sand. A thunderclap on a silent night. All precipitations of great labor.

Image as Information

I create static & dynamic visual art using digital image processing, glitch, and generative techniques. My artistic choices are informed by my queer existence and the systems of nature. The more color, the better.

Music Production

I produce music with FL Studio, which you can find on my SoundCloud , and live code music with strudel.cc. My music speaks of the melancholies of a trans life; the odd rhythms make you skip a beat and fall into my fruity shoes.

Tools for artists

I use my years of training as a software engineer to develop toolkits that aim to fill the gaps left by the corporations that govern creatives. I hope to democratize computational art by using the power of Free & Open Source technologies above proprietary solutions.

Code & Simulation

My training in physics and ecology has ingrained in me a deep sense of respect for natural systems, which I hold as my paramount artistic inspirations. In prostration, I model my mediums from ground up, quite literally, in code.

Real Time Flair

I perform live as a DJ under the moniker Cyberdemon. I mix mainly techno and experimental music, and my setlist curation draws from a vast array of non-traditional sources.

06 / Collaboration

Collective Effort

I've been actively collaborating with artists for the past two years on projects, experiments and music. I've been part of the Chipko Punks artist collective for the past six months. My friends and collaborators have made me who I am today.

My Process

A honed edge, A deep craft.

Measure, calibrate, simulate, hypothesize, experiment, observe, repeat. This is how I get my work done.

Research the System

Each system has its constraints and measurement uncertainties. I find out what they are, and then fine-tune the instruments. I choose the parameters and internal variables I wish to study carefully, then get really good at measuring them.

Design the Translation

Data by itself sucks. Yet, its non-trivial symmetries, patterns and internal structures are what make it beautiful. If the data is speaking to me, I learn its language, then find the most aesthetically pleasing representation of it through iterative testing.

Prototype the Machine

A rapid prototype is just the first stepping stone, and I'm good at messing around with code snippets, but there's more. Building custom open source software needs deep knowledge of Object Oriented Programming, design patterns, and optimization techniques. I stay up to date with coding best practices, and use local agentic LLMs to fill in the gaps.

Test in real conditions

Just because my beefy 20 core system can run it fast, doesn't mean it's a good piece of software. I write all my code with the craziest end user in mind. I debug constantly, keep hunting for edge cases, and always keep my head out for undefined behavior. Stress test first, deliver later.

Document the Work

How my work is perceived by others is just as important to me as my work itself. My audience deserves to see my process, my techniques, my limitations and my final outputs. With this in mind, I document heavily with presentations, progress update timelines, tutorials and more.

Live

For galleries, clubs, festivals, and installations.

I bring color, calculated chaos and a well-wishing attitude to every team I'm a part of. This is how I can contribute to our endeavors as collaborators:

Format 01

Audio-Visual performance

Live visuals and audio-reactive systems for music, underground spaces, and experimental performance.

Format 02

Interactive installation

Sensor, camera, touch, or browser-based interaction to create immersive experiences.

Format 03

Creative tech tools
